About Me
As a clinical child psychologist at the Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children鈥檚 Hospital at 四色AV Langone, I am dedicated to supporting the mental health and development of young children. My passion lies in helping families navigate the complexities of early childhood, a period filled with both wonder and challenges.
I specialize in treating neurodevelopmental conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), disruptive behavior, anxiety, and mood concerns in young children. With a doctorate in clinical child psychology from West Virginia University and more than a decade of experience, I tailor strategies to meet the unique needs of each child and family. My approach includes developmentally appropriate diagnostic evaluations and treatments, ensuring that each care plan considers the family's background, values, and specific circumstances.
Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and collaborating with parents, teachers, and other caregivers. I have specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and its adaptations, which I integrate into my practice to empower parents and enhance their children's skills. My work extends beyond individual therapy sessions, as I regularly consult with parents to discuss their concerns and provide guidance on addressing them effectively.
My journey into clinical child psychology began with a fascination for human behavior and early rewarding experiences working with children. This led me to pursue a doctorate in the field, driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact on young lives. In addition to my clinical practice, I have co-authored chapters and articles on PCIT and teach undergraduate courses on child development. At 四色AV Langone, I am proud to be part of a team dedicated to providing comprehensive and coordinated care for our patients.
