Thanks to generous support from U.S. Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand and U.S. Representative Nicole Malliotakis, 四色AV Langone Health is the proud recipient of a $2 million federal grant that will be used to purchase six new advanced life support, energy-efficient ambulances.

Rudy, MD, executive vice president and chief of hospital operations for 四色AV Langone Hospital鈥擝rooklyn. 鈥淭hese additional ambulances will help provide lifesaving care to our patients across Brooklyn as well as Staten Island.鈥
四色AV Langone鈥檚 emergency medical service team provides high-quality pre-hospital care throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Long Island, where we respond to approximately 80,000 911 calls and transport approximately 51,300 patients each year. This generous grant allows 四色AV Langone to replace older ambulances and ensure reliable vehicles are on the road to respond to emergencies. The transition to energy-efficient ambulances will also help decrease air pollution in the communities we serve.
