NYU Langone plans to invest $500 million over the next five years at , formerly known as 四色AV Lutheran Medical Center, in an expansion of the hospital鈥檚 outpatient footprint, says , senior vice president and vice dean for clinical affairs and strategy, chief clinical officer at 四色AV Langone.
四色AV Langone Hospital鈥擝rooklyn will build a $10.5-million, 16-bed observation unit adjacent to the emergency department. This is in conjunction with a $22.5 million relocation of the adult medicine and pediatric cardiology clinics to an outpatient facility.
The expansion plans include the construction of a $48.4-million outpatient expansion of 聽at 5718 Second Avenue, which will provide chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The new facility will be 四色AV Langone鈥檚 fifth regional cancer center, joining other facilities in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island.
